Universal Yoga - The Art of Complete Balance
Created by Andrey Lappa, Universal Yoga is a multidimensional system that unites classical Hatha with Himalayan vinyasas and Tantric wisdom with modern understanding of anatomy, energy, and consciousness. It is designed to harmonize all layers of human existence — body, breath, mind, and beyond.
Each sequence is carefully structured to engage all directions of joint mobility — forward, backward, lateral, rotational, and inverted — creating full-spectrum balance and symmetry in the body. The practice is not focused on achieving one “peak pose,” but on cultivating harmony, coordination, and integration across the entire system.A distinctive feature of Universal Yoga is the use of two mats arranged in a cross shape, allowing practitioners to shift orientation in space. This multidirectional movement not only develops physical balance but also stimulates new neural pathways, awakening deeper levels of awareness and adaptability. The practice emphasizes strength of shoulders and arms, flexibility of legs and spine, and fluid connection of breath and movement, gradually leading to a meditative state of centered stillness. In its deeper layers, Universal Yoga works on balancing all seven Maya Koshas — the energetic “sheaths” of human existence — bringing alignment between the physical body, energy, emotions, intellect, intuition, bliss, and pure consciousness. The ultimate goal of the practice is the state of inner balance and calm emptiness of mind, known in yoga as Samadhi — a harmonious unity of body, energy, and awareness.
Yoga Core - Foundation of Strength and Stability
This class is designed as the cornerstone of your yoga evolution. In this meticulously structured one-hour session, you’ll move through eight progressive sequences that awaken and strengthen the deep core muscles — the energetic and physical center of your practice. Each phase of strength activation is balanced with targeted stretching to restore muscular elasticity and promote balance between power and softness. The focus is on cultivating a stable and resilient core that supports both physical integrity and energetic flow.By consistently practicing Yoga Core, you’ll build the foundation to confidently approach advanced systems such as Universal Yoga and Ashtanga, empowering you to experience a transformative leap in your overall practice.
Deep Stretch - Universal Mobility & Release
This class is inspired by the principles of Universal Yoga, focusing exclusively on deep stretching and joint mobility. Through a mindful blend of passive and active static asanas, myofascial release techniques, and conscious breathing, we target the deeper layers of muscles and connective tissues. The practice feels like an athletic yet meditative stretch, helping release tension, improve range of motion, and restore harmony between strength and flexibility.
We pay special attention to joint mobility — moving through all directions and ranges to bring the body into balance and ease.Held in a softly lit room with candles and a relaxing atmosphere, this class offers a space for deep physical opening and mental stillness — a perfect counterbalance to the intensity of modern life.
Ashtanga Variations
This class is inspired by the traditional Ashtanga system yet reimagined to honor the body’s natural rhythm and joint health. We’ve softened the structure by reducing the number of vinyasasand creating space for mindful movement and breath awareness. You’ll explore intelligent mobility work to improve joint range, refine transitions, and sustain strength without strain. The class maintains the meditative and energizing essence of Ashtanga while offering a more accessible, sustainable approach suitable for modern practitioners. Expect a steady pace, balanced sequencing, and a sense of internal calm that grows with each breath — a perfect bridge between the discipline of tradition and the intelligence of mindful movement.

Flow to Stillness & Breath
While at SolarYou Yoga we believe that there are truly no “all-level” classes when we speak about the full system of yoga — each practice should honor where the student is on their path — this class is a rare exception. This class welcomes everyone, from newcomers to advanced practitioners, because inner stillness and breath awareness are the essence of yoga at every stage of practice. In this 60-minute class, we journey from mindful movement into deep stillness — awakening the body, quieting the mind, and expanding the breath.
The practice begins with a grounded Hatha-Vinyasa flow, gently building warmth, strength, and fluidity as each movement synchronizes with breath. Gradually, the pace softens and transitions into slow, introspective postures that calm the nervous system and release stored tension. As the body opens and settles, awareness turns inward through gentle pranayama and breath awareness, allowing the subtle body to expand and energy to balance. The experience concludes with a guided meditation, inviting complete stillness, clarity, and inner peace.Flow to Stillness & Breath is a practice of balance — the meeting point between movement and meditation, effort and ease, doing and simply being.
Yin / Myofascial Release
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, therapeutic style of yoga. Yin postures are more passive postures, mainly done on the floor either seated or lying down. There are no sun salutations, no planks, no warriors, no jump throughs!
There is in fact no dynamic movement and usually no standing poses at all.Yin Yoga is unique in that you are asked to relax into the posture, allowing the body to soften and release naturally without pushing or straining. Postures to be held for three to five minutes, even 10 minutes at a time. The time spent in these postures is much like time spent in meditation, as the mind shifts from yang to yin, or from active to passive. The key to practicing Yin Yoga is finding stillness in each position. The goal is to access the deeper tissues of the body, such as connective tissue and fascia, and many of the postures focus on areas that encompass a joint such as the hips, sacrum, spine. The term “yin yoga” comes from the Taoist tradition. While yang relates to movement and creating heat in the body. Yin is about finding stillness and cooling the body. We need both the yin and the yang to find balance and stay in optimal health throughout every stage of our lifespan.your pricing strategy.
